Microneedling: Empowering the body to heal itself

Microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles in a machine setting into the skin for the purpose of rejuvenation. This process helps in a rapid regeneration of collagen and elastin, as well as epidermal cells.

Micro-injuries allow for the release of serum containing cytokines and growth factors, induces healthy fibroblast production that stimulates collagen and elastin to increase dermal thickness and promotes deposition of fresh new collagen without scar formation.

This treatment helps reduce and slow down the signs of aging. In TCM terminology microneedling and facial acupuncture both are very effective treatment options to help move energy, blood and renew your skin.

Nestled in the busy streets of beautiful downtown Vancouver, BC, you’ll find our committed team of practitioners ready to guide you through your first microneedling treatment. We invite you to slow down, unplug and let your body start the process of healing itself.

It starts with a conversation. We take time to listen to your unique health conditions and clear any doubts you may have. We then offer you our expert advice on what to expect from a microneedling treatment and what we believe will work best for your current state and future goals.

What happens during a microneedling session

Microneedling is often used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and acne. The procedure may also help to shrink pores, reduce sun damage, and fight stretch marks. Microneedling can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands. Microneedling is considered safe for most people. Microneedling is usually well tolerated and has fewer side effects than laser resurfacing or intense chemical peels.

The whole procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Microneedling may cause temporary redness, swelling, or bruising which can last from one to seven days depending on your skin, although these side effects and redness typically subsides within 24-48 hours. These symptoms can last longer depending on the intensity of your treatment and your skin type. Your skin may feel tighter after treatment in which we use a nourishing serum, face mask and herbal spray to aid in the process of healing. All our products are all natural and will optimize your skin cells.

You will want to avoid direct sun and any active skin care products for the next seven days as well as avoid increasing the temperature in the body through exercise, hot tubs, steam rooms for at least 24-48 hours. Microneedling can be performed every 4 to 6 weeks until desired results are achieved.

Microneedling can improve the appearance of your skin and make you look younger.

Go for it, this is your time!
